I’m really glad you’re here.

lol/sos is a newsletter about nothing in the same way Seinfeld is a show about nothing.

Each story I publish brings together seemingly random observations in unexpected ways. There are personal essays, and interviews, and prose that just flows real nice. I also read a lot and share the best of it with you. My goal is for each piece to give you something to love—a reference, a quote, a connection, a word choice, a perspective, a person.

Insofar as my writing is “about” anything – travel, say, or being online – it usually intersects with one or several of the themes above. A story about going home might lead with an obscure philosophy, transition to climate disaster, reflect on rock skipping’s greatest living legend, revel in miracle water, and conclude with wondering what the Inuit think about all these wildfires.

“It all just unfolds so perfectly,” as one reader put it; “your wordsssss ahhh,” another.
